HERNO

Rooted in the misty shores of Italy’s Lake Maggiore and born of post-war ingenuity, Herno stands at the intersection of heritage craftsmanship, technical innovation and refined elegance. Founded in 1948 by Giuseppe Marenzi and his wife Alessandra Diana in Lesa (Piedmont), the company’s name pays homage to the Erno River flowing beneath its atelier.

Herno is an Italian outerwear house defined by a rare balance: refined, timeless design on the outside, and deeply considered engineering on the inside. The brand is best known for coats and jackets that look clean and elegant, but are built to perform—lightweight warmth, weather protection, and comfort that holds up through real daily wear.

A core part of Herno’s identity is its fabric obsession. Instead of relying on loud branding or trend-driven silhouettes, Herno focuses on how a garment feels on the body: the hand of the fabric, the drape through the shoulders, the way insulation is distributed, and how the piece moves when you’re actually living in it. The result is outerwear that reads quietly luxurious—sleek lines, thoughtful proportions, and a modern minimalism—while delivering the practical benefits customers expect from technical outerwear.
